Celtic Astrology: remembering the magical power of the trees

Updated: May 13

During the last FM, I was in touch with Giovanna, an Italian friend of mine and She told me the name of her dog :oak. I immediately reacted... as a few days ago, I visited a village in which the lord of the village is a wise oak of 350 years old. So, I decided to bounce on Celtic astrology as the coincidence was so accurate.

The Celtic Tree Astrology is derived from the beliefs of the ancient Druids.

Druids were Celtic priests who attached great importance to the forests and they revered the sacred knowledge held by trees. They believed the entire universe existed in the form of a tree, with its roots representing the past, its trunk representing the present and its branches, reaching to the heavens, representing the future and the afterlife.

Celtic astrology is based on the lunar system which is based on the thirteen cycles of the moon with each cycle linked to one of the sacred Celtic trees.

The Druids believed that the time of a person’s birth played a vital part in the formation of their personality and that they would go on to develop certain characteristics.

For a personal interpretation of the trees symbols, I suggest these 2 websites:

The lord of the village (Le seigneur du village-Grambois-Fr)

OAK tree

German forester Peter Wohlleben revealed to the world, in his best-seller The Secret Life of Trees, that a gigantic network of microscopic fungi allowed trees to exchange information.

Trees exchange information throughout a surprising underground communication network.

However, the root system is not the only way trees communicate with each other. So they have developed many senses, like us. Not only touch, but also taste, or smell, if not sight. Observe two large beeches or two large oaks, which have grown side by side for decades. Neither bothers the other and each, out of modesty or respect, restrains the growth in length of its largest branches so that they do not disturb its congener,

Trees also communicate through the air.

And what if human beings were able to use trees to communicate with others…. No need for antennas and new technologies.

No media will tell you the truth…

Believe in yourself and emancipate yourself from mental slavery.

“The green oak and cedar—the dark pine, the yellow and silvery-barked willow— each majestic old tree; hath its own peculiar tone and whisper for thine ear.”
