Summer solstice 21st June & New Moon 25th June 2025 The gate of inner change

The Summer Solstice takes place every year between the 19th and 22nd of June, when the Sun enters the sign of Cancer. This moment is very energetically charged since the inclination of the Earth brings us closer to the Sun.The Solstices are related to the inclination of the axis of rotation of the Earth which, as you know, rotates around the Sun.

From September to March, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted backward facing the Sun and we are therefore in Autumn and Winter.During this long decline of the Light, we are living a 'Feminine' movement: we withdraw into ourselves.

We naturally find ourselves inclined to introspection and reflection. We prefer to be inside the home where heat is present. It is a time to dream, explore the desires of one’s Authentic Being and plan their manifestation in fine weather.

From March to September, the northern hemisphere is inclined towards the Sun and therefore receives more Light. It is spring and summer.Our spirit, like Nature, awakens little by little... Energy becomes more and more solar and 'Masculine'.

Like the plants towards the Sun, we are then in a movement of stretching our Authentic Being towards others and the World.

During the long days of summer, our mind thirsts for outdoors, thrills, movement and partying.The axis of the Earth tilts towards the Sun at most twice a year.

The new moon in Cancer encourages emotional exploration, closer relationships, and new beginnings.

The NM is within a Cardinal Cross, which is important to think about. From an evolutionary perspective, the cardinal cross reflects the need to implement change and forward momentum in our lives. In other words, the cardinal archetype symbolizes the need to initiate change. However, the necessary change typically occurs as the famous “one step forward, two steps back”. This reflects an inherent insecurity that all of us experience when initiating change that threatens our known and/or our habits and routines.
